In this discussion. Dr. Shane T. Spiker discusses how socio-economic status plays a critical role in behavior analytic work. The presenter will focus on basic definitions related to socio-economic status, how behavior analysts can adequately navigate SES concerns, and how to determine necessary skills to work effectively in conditions where SES factors contribute to treatment barriers. The overall goal of this talk is to inform participants about the nature of low SES conditions and how hardships related to resource scarcity can directly impact the client and stakeholders.
