Kimberly Walker, BCBA, BCBA, Regional Coordinator for Suwannee River Region
Kimberly is a board certified behavior analyst and was a K-12 Florida certified special education teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching children and young adults with a variety of special needs.
Prior to completing her master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of West Florida, Kimberly received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami in psychology. She then became a special education teacher in Dixie County Florida teaching students with a wide range of disabilities ranging from autism spectrum disorder to attention deficit disorder. In 2011, she was announced as the Teacher of the Year for Dixie County.
Following her classroom experience, she worked in Collier County public schools as a behavior specialist in classrooms with intensive behavioral supports. She was responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior implementation plans, monitoring programs, writing IEP goals, and training and supervising teachers and para professionals and worked closely with educators and families.
Upon leaving the school environment, Kimberly provided in-home ABA therapy with Positive Behavior Supports, Corp. She provided supervision and training to Registered Behavior Technicians and assistant behavior analysts as a Lead Analyst. She recently relocated to the Suwannee River Region where she continues to provide ABA services to children and families in rural northern Florida.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, Kimberly is an experienced speaker and has presented seminars and workshops for parents, teachers and related health care professionals in the communities of both Naples and Immokallee. She has been an invited speaker to Spanish-speaking family support groups both in Naples and Immokallee for the past three years.
Her additional passions include her family and sailing.
